About Me

Jacky Saunders

I've always had a genuine interest in people, behaviour, and the mind — why we think and feel the way we do, and how two people can experience the same situation, yet respond to it so differently.

My own journey into hypnotherapy began in a very personal way.

I was a heavy smoker and I tried to stop a few times using willpower. I found it a constant struggle, and effort. I always found myself going back to it and I couldn't imagine ever enjoying life without a cigarette. A colleague recommended hypnotherapy and like most people I was intrigued that it could be used therapeutically rather than as entertainment. I was nervous about it but I was desperate to give up and was willing to try anything.

After just one session, something shifted. I didn't feel like I was "trying" to quit — I simply felt like a non-smoker. There was no internal battle, no sense of deprivation. It felt natural, as though the change had happened at a much deeper level. I never smoked again. It felt like magic.

That experience had such a powerful impact on me.

I had suffered with anxiety in my teens and twenties, although at the time I didn't fully understand what I was experiencing. I struggled with constant overthinking, physical symptoms such as palpitations, and a persistent sense of unease. I decided to try hypnotherapy and found it just as powerful. After five sessions I noticed I wasn't ruminating and the panicky feeling had disappeared. I felt calmer and more at ease, able to handle things I wouldn't have in the past — so much more confident and emotionally resilient. I found it so transformative that it inspired me to train as a Clinical Hypnotherapist.

I trained over 10 years ago with the Institute of Clinical Hypnotherapy, gaining an Advanced Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy. Since then I have continued to deepen my knowledge through ongoing professional development, including training in children and young teen mental health, anxiety disorders, coaching, EMDR, and EFT.

My approach is integrative and tailored to you. Using a combination of these therapies I can work with you both at a deeper subconscious level and in a practical, supportive way.

I work with clients both in person and online — ensuring a safe, confidential, and supportive environment.
